On this Empowered Clarity Podcast, Tino Vieitez talks to Barbara Joye of “The Shift Guru” about the beliefs that hinder an Entrepreneur. Barbara Joye has lovingly and laughingly been labeled The Shift Guru.  And, for those that know her, this is a very appropriate title.

Her life focus is to create belief shifts in her own life that allow her to experience a wonderful and truly blessed life.  Once she experienced the impact of her own belief shifts, she began assisting others to create the lives they desired and/or to understand what they would need to do to create what they envisioned. As such she is The Shift Guru.And a bit of background on the word GURU; the etymology (origin) of the word GURU is a noun which means ‘teacher’ or ‘imparter of knowledge’.   More specifically;‘The syllable gu means shadows; The syllable ru, s/he who disperses them. Because of the power to disperse darkness the guru is thus named.’

Having the opportunity to co-author the book, The Light Won; a Tutorial in Co-Creation, Barbara Joye definitely holds the position of one who assists in dispensing darkness. And, taking a step further, Barbara Joye acknowledges the fact that only the individual can truly shift their lives.  To that end, she offers workshops and seminars on Becoming Your Own Shift Guru.  At the end of each workshop or seminar, all participants are encouraged to shift their own life and then to tell Barbara Joye just how they accomplished such a shift.  With the receipt of this information, the individual then becomes a “Certified Shift Guru – Responsible for Shifting Their Own Life.” Is there anything you would like to shift in your life?
